Performing as Violin Girl, is a Las Vegas native and a professional violinist and vocalist. She has been studying the violin since the age of two, and voice since the age of 10. Amanda’s true passion is for violin freestyle, which she initially specialized through a year of full-time street performance on the Las Vegas Strip. Amanda takes dance music tracks, often being mixed live by DJs, and improvises over them on the electric violin, thus creating a unique sound synthesis of electronic music and live instrumentation. Additionally, she performs solo with a combination of violin and voice. In summer 2013, Amanda took her work to a new level when she performed at the inaugural year of the Northern Nights Music Festival in California alongside DJ3W. She has since featured at Burning Man, Northern Nights ’14 and ’15, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, Artisan Las Vegas, the House of Blues, the Hard Rock Cafe, etc. Amanda is currently working on recording collaborations with various DJs and producers, as well as performing around the West Coast. In her free time Amanda enjoys writing, finding fantastic new music, traveling, good books, and eating Chipotle burritos.
